FUNDRAISERS INVADE LADYSMITH
On September 29th Ladysmith Shopping Centre
welcomed Hyde Fundraisers with their sci-fi characters for a Comic Com themed
event. The event included visits from
popular characters such as Darth Vader, Predator, Spiderman, Judge Dredd,
Batman, Planet Of The Apes and many more. Sculptor Ray Phillips also displayed
some of his work which included a range of masks from Dr Who and Star Wars.
There was also a special visit from the High Sheriff Of
Greater Manchester, Dr Robina Shah and the Civic Mayor Of Tameside, Councillor
Denise Ward and her consort David McNally. The special guests judged a cosplay
competition won by Rory Hand from Audenshaw in his home made pirate costume.
The event also revealed that Hyde Fundraisers had also been nominated for the
Queens award For Voluntary Service which would be considered for the 2019-2020
year.
