Covid 19 FAQs
To reassure shoppers the centre remains a safe and clean
place and to address any concerns you may have prior to visiting, we have put together a list of frequently asked questions:
What are the centre opening hours?
From 15th June, the centre opening hours will
revert to 8 am until 6 pm Monday to Saturday and 10 am until 4 pm on Sunday.
Please be aware that individual retailers may have altered their opening hours
in light of safety and available staffing. If you are visiting a specific
store, please call ahead to check they are open.
Where should I queue for the shop I am visiting?
Each retail shop will manage the queue for their shop and
permit you to enter when it is safe. Visitors are asked to queue at 2m
distances outside the shops. If the queue becomes too long, you may be asked to
return. Whilst this is not ideal, your patience is appreciated whilst they keep
you safe.
Is social distancing being practiced?
You will see plenty of signage whilst visiting, reminding
you to practice social distancing and keep a safe 2m distance between anyone
who is not in your household.
What stores are open at Ladysmith?
The Government have indicated that certain stores may
open, whilst others may not just yet. If you intend to visit a specific store,
please call ahead to check opening hours before you make the journey.
Do you have hand sanitiser available for use?
There are several hand sanitiser dispensers available for
visitor use in the centre. We encourage you to use these when you enter and
exit and after you have touched anything or handled cash. We politely request
you do not fill up personal bottles from these dispensers.
Is there a restriction on how many people are in the
shopping centre at one time?
Due to the open aspect of the Ladysmith Shopping Centre,
it is difficult to control the number of visitors. We would ask you to avoid
entering the centre if it appears overly busy. Thank you in advance for your
patience and understanding.
How long can I stop at the shopping centre?
To ensure visitor and staff safety, we are asking you to
do your shopping as quickly as you can. We look forward to the day when we can
welcome you back and you can stay and socialise as long as you wish, but for
now, please do your shopping safely.
Can I stop and talk to friends? If so, how can I do this
safely?
We are encouraging visitors to only stay in the centre for
as long as absolutely necessary. If you
wish to stop and speak to friends, please arrange to meet them outside rather
than in the malls. Where possible we would like to keep people constantly
moving, in order for social distancing to be practiced effectively.
Will children be allowed inside the Centre if not
accompanied by a parent?
We recognise that in some instances, parents have to rely
on children to shop for them. In order to prevent children from being
refused entry, it would be beneficial if they have a note confirming their
parent has sent them. We cannot, however, permit groups of children into the
centre unaccompanied.
Do I have to wear a face covering when I shop with you?
The Government have now made face coverings compulsory
whilst shopping. Therefore please wear a face covering whilst shopping in our stores, however as we are an open air centre it's not compulsary while walking around the centre.
Where do I go if I have a problem or a question?
The Ladysmith team are on hand at all times to answer
questions or address any concerns you have. You will find them at every
entrance and patrolling the malls. They can be identified by their grey uniform
or a high visibility vest.
What if I am uncomfortable if someone gets too close to
me?
If another visitor gets too close to you and you feel
uncomfortable, they may just need a reminder to keep social distance. If you
feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any time, please let a member of the Ladysmith team
or any of our retail store teams know.
