This festive season, Ladysmith Shopping Centre invites the children and families of Ashton to join us for a magical lineup of Christmas activities that will create lasting memories. Here’s what’s in store:

Town Centre Light Switch on Event Collaboration
Join us for the grand opening of our Christmas celebrations on the day of Ashton’s Christmas light switch-on, Saturday 23rd of November! Enjoy appearances by beloved characters like Laurel & Hardy, Wolverine, and Deadpool, while Santa and an elf distribute selection boxes to children.

Letters to Santa 

We are bringing the joy of Christmas to life with our North Pole Post Box, located in the heart of the centre, from Saturday 23rd of November to Wednesday 18th of December. Little ones can download our special Ladysmith letter template from our website or get themselves a copy at our first Elf HQ event “Letters to Santa” workshop. After they write their heartfelt messages, they can post their letters to Santa and receive a personalised reply before Christmas! Be sure to post letters by December 18th to ensure a reply from Santa Claus himself.

Elf HQ Workshop Trilogy 

Embark on a magical journey with our ElfHQ workshops, running over three festive Saturdays:

Saturday 30th of November: Kick off with our “Letters to Santa” workshop and be among the first to post a letter in the North Pole Post Box.

Saturday 7th of December: Get creative with our paper wreath-making workshop.

Saturday 14th of December: Craft a wooden tree decoration to take home.

If you take part you will receive an “ElfHQ” loyalty card that gets stamped at each session. Complete all three workshop stamps and receive a special gift and certificate!

Gift Wrapping Service 

For last-minute shoppers, we’ll provide a gift-wrapping service on Saturday 21st of December, with optional donations to support our charity of the year, Willow Wood. Let us help you wrap your gifts while you enjoy the final days of Christmas shopping!

1. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult over 18
2. This event is free to attend.
3. Ladysmith Shopping Centre reserves the right to refuse entry.
4. Ladysmith Shopping Centre at its absolute discretion reserves the right at any time to cancel or amend events, activities, workshops, alter times, prices and services without notice.
5. If the event is cancelled in its entirety, Ladysmith Shopping Centre will use our reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Dogs and all other pets are not permitted within the Ladysmith Shopping Centre or any events. This is with the exception of Assistant Dogs and some restrictions do apply. 
7. Admission to any event, activity or workshop is at your own risk. Ladysmith Shopping Centre will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages or emotional distress sustained at or during or following the event, activity or workshop including damage, theft or losses to property and motor vehicles.
8. Please note that CCTV, film cameras and photographers may be present. By entering Ladysmith Shopping Centre, you consent to filming stills photography and sound recording and its use in distribution (commercial or otherwise) without any payment.
9. If you experience any problems during the event, activity or workshop, please contact a member of Ladysmith Shopping Centre staff, as it may not be possible to resolve issues after the event, activity or workshop.
