Ladysmith Shopping Centre School Uniform Exchange

Supporting Our Community During the Cost of Living Crisis

At Ladysmith Shopping Centre, we believe every child deserves to start the school year with confidence.

With the cost of living crisis placing significant financial pressure on families, we’re proud to host a School Uniform Exchange, offering families FREE school uniform with an optional donation to Willow Wood, our charity partner.

Key Dates

  • Uniform Drop-Off Point: Willow Wood Hospice Shop (Ladysmith Shopping Centre), throughout August
  • Shop Opening Days: Friday 30th & Saturday 31st August from 10am until 3pm
  • Shop location: Unit 4 – Ladysmith Shopping Centre (former Simply Clothing store)

HOW IT WORKS:

Donate Your Uniform

Throughout July and August, we invite the community to drop off new or used school uniforms at Ladysmith Shopping Centre’s Willow Wood store. These contributions will be a lifeline for families struggling with the high cost of new uniforms.

Shop Opening

The School Uniform Exchange shop will be open on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of August, ready for the new school year in September. Our dedicated team of volunteers will staff the shop, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.

WHY IT MATTERS:

Promoting Equality and Inclusion: Ensuring every child has access to a proper school uniform helps them feel included and valued within their school community.

Supporting Families: With the current economic challenges, the Uniform Exchange eases financial pressure on families, allowing them to allocate resources to other essential needs.

Encouraging Sustainability: By giving old uniform a second lease of life, we promote sustainability and reduce waste.

A COMMUNITY EFFORT:

This initiative is only possible with the support and generosity of our community. Together, we can make a significant impact, ensuring every child starts the school year with confidence and pride.

Thank you for helping us support our community!
